WiTricity is moving to larger quarters
WiTricity Corp., a Watertown company focused on wireless electricity technology, is moving to much larger quarters, said a real estate broker involved in the leasing transaction.
The broker, Richards Barry Joyce & Partners of Boston, said that WiTricity will move from its current location at 80 Coolidge Rd., Watertown, where it occupies about 8,000 square feet of space, to 20,000 square feet of space at 149 Grove St., also in Watertown. At that address, WiTricity will lease the entire two-story building.
WiTricity "needed access to first floor space that would facilitate the company’s research and development on electric cars that have to be moved in and out of the building," said Richards Barry Joyce, which represented WiTricity in the leasing transaction.
The building’s landlord, Bubblegum Realty Trust, was represented by Colliers Meredith & Grew, a Boston real estate firm, Richards Barry Joyce said.
