BU will break ground on student residence
Mayor Thomas M. Menino is scheduled to join Boston University president Robert Brown and Boston University School of Medicine officials for a ground-breaking ceremony of a new graduate student residence this afternoon, Menino's office said.
"The nine-story, $40 million structure with a brick and limestone fašade in the classic Boston tradition will accommodate 208 students," a press advisory from the mayor's office said. "Its 104 two-bedroom suites include bath, kitchenette and living spaces, each with individual bedrooms, the standard for graduate student housing. The building is expected to take 18 months to complete."
The new residence will be located at 815 Albany St.
