Staples announces social entrepreneur winners
The global competition highlights youth-led innovations addressing social issues affecting their communities, Staples said in a press release. The eight winners will receive cash prizes, consulting from Staples executives, and an all-expenses-paid trip to speak at TEDxYSE, a conference scheduled for Washington, D.C., next month.
One winner is Harvard University freshman Rebecca Kantar. She is a a founding member of Minga, a youth-run civic organization dedicated to ending the global child sex trade through educating teens worldwide, Staples said.
