aldebran.jpg Aldebaran Robotics said that it has incorporated in the United States and has established its North American headquarters in Cambridge in a move designed to enable the company to better serve the training and service needs of researchers and educators in the Americas.

With offices in France, China, and the United States, Aldebaran Robotics designs, produces, and commercializes autonomous humanoid robots. The company’s humanoid robot is utilized throughout the world as a research and educational platform, the company said in a press release.

“Having a significant number of customers in North and South America it was a natural step for us to open a new office to better serve the region,” Bruno Maisonnier, company founder and chief executive, said in a statement.

The Boston area is a "natural" choice for the company's office because of its "well deserved reputation as a leading center for academic research and robotics innovation," he added.
