Livewire buys FoneStarz Media

Livewire Mobile Inc., a Littleton company focused on mobile music and content, said it has bought FoneStarz Media Group Limited in a transaction valued at $4 million.

Headquartered in the United Kingdom, FoneStarz is a mobile digital storefront and mobile content supplier that works with many large telecom and media brands.

In a press release, Livewire Mobile said, "The combination of the two companies creates a mobile content powerhouse with a broad content offering that includes application distribution, ringback, full-track music, video, advertising, ringtones, images, and games."
