Optaros Inc., a Boston company that provides e-commerce solutions, said it was recently awarded a Silver Davey Award for its work with 38 Studios, the entertainment and video-game company founded by former Red Sox star Curt Schilling.

The Davey Awards are sanctioned by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. Optaros said it won a Davey Award in the website/games category for its work with 38 Studios on its product launch site, ReckoningTheGame.com.

The website is designed to promote "Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning," 38 Studio's role-playing game that is planned for release in the fall of 2011, Optaros said. (The image above this post was taken from the product-launch website.)

Schilling's company launched in Massachusetts but is in the process of relocating to Rhode Island after Rhode Island gave it a $75 million loan guarantee to move to the Ocean State.

Optaros said it also won a Gold Davey for its work for 36Boutiques, a private-event retail site in South Africa.
