Local gas prices hold steady in latest AAA survey

The average price of gas in Massachusetts held steady at $3.109 per gallon in the latest weekly AAA survey, AAA Southern New England said today.
Before this week's survey, the average price had increased for the previous eight weeks, said AAA Southern New England, whose weekly surveys focus on self-serve, regular unleaded gas.
The national average for self serve unleaded is $3.09 per gallon, said AAA Southern New England, which added that a year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was $2.68.
