Beacon Hill convenience store has new name
The 7-Eleven store that has occupied the site for roughly the last two decades "is in the process of being converted into an independently run convenience store named Charles Street Market," said Linear Retail Properties, which added that the address of the single-story retail building is 62-66 Charles St.
The store stopped doing business as a 7-Eleven last week but never really shut down, said William J. Beckeman, president and chief executive of Linear Retail. The "new" store is already operating under the name Charles Street Market, he said.
Based in Burlington, Linear Retail is a firm that acquires retail properties in New England and currently owns and operates 55 shopping centers and other retail properties valued in excess of $300 million.
Dedham-based Conviser Property Group was the sole broker in the transaction, representing 7-Eleven and procuring Linear Retail as the buyer, Linear Retail said.
