Keds kicks off marketing road trip
Keds, the sneaker line with offices in Lexington, said it is kicking off a marketing road trip to college campuses with a mobile shoe box and the theme of "How Do You Do?"
Besides seeking to build buzz and reboot the aura of a venerable brand, the tour aims to "inspire students to create, collaborate, and contribute within their local communities," Keds said in a press release. "The goal of the tour is to encourage campus communities to 'do what they do' and incorporate Keds into their lifestyles."
In a statement, Keds president Kristin Kohler Burrows said, "The phrase 'How Do You Do?' has two meanings - the first as a salutation, serving as an introduction to the brand, and the second is in reference to 'How Do YOU Do...' style, art, music, charity, your craft, etc."
