Crew Media said that it has acquired Eons.com, a baby boomer-focused online social networking site founded by Jeff Taylor of Monster.com fame.

The transaction includes Eons BOOM Media, baby boomer online advertising network. A press release issued by Crew Media did not include any financial details of the transaction. Eons says it has more than 800,000 registered users.

Headquartered in San Francisco, Crew Media describes itself as a media services company specializing in high-quality digital media engagements for the mature audience.

The Crew Media press release included a statement from Taylor, who said, "Continuum Crew with its 40-plus client focus is the perfect market match for our vibrant community and focus on the boomer consumer.”

Taylor may be best known for his work as the creator of Monster.com, the job search website. Today Monster has business relationships with many media companies including The New York Times Co., owner of The Boston Globe and Boston.com.
