Hanover signs on as an MIT $100k sponsor
The Hanover Insurance Group Inc. said in a press release that it is becoming a sponsor of the MIT $100k Entrepreneurship Competition.
According to the competition's website at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the contest is a year-long educational experience designed to encourage students and researchers in the MIT community to act on their talent, ideas, and energy to produce tomorrow’s leading firms; the competition is in its 21th year.
Headquartered in Worcester, Hanover is a provider of property and casualty insurance products nationwide.
In a statement, Hanover's technology practice leader Toby Levy said: "This sponsorship demonstrates the Hanover's strong commitment to education and innovation. While innovation comes with risks, the Hanover has solutions. That's why Hanover's in-depth knowledge of the technology industry is critical to helping tech companies, start-up to large multi-national companies, manage their unique risks and exposures."
