WOBURN -- Analog chip maker Skyworks Solutions Inc. said yesterday that it is buying SiGe Semiconductor Inc., a manufacturer of equipment that enables wireless interconnection between electronic devices.

Woburn-based Skyworks will pay $210 million in cash and an additional $65 million if certain performance targets are met over the next 12 months.

The deal has been approved by Skyworks' and SiGe's boards and is expected to close in June.

SiGe customers include Cisco, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, and Microsoft.

Skyworks makes electronics for amplifiers, diodes, switches and other electronic parts for products used by the automotive, broadband, cellular, medical, military and mobile handset industries.

Shares of Skyworks fell 60 cents, or 2.2 percent, to close at $26.64. They slid 6 cents in after-market trading.
