A former employee of data storage company EMC Corp. has been indicted on charges that she stole more than $225,000 from the business, in part by using a company credit card for personal expenses including sports tickets and plastic surgery.

Madeline Vinton of Webster was indicted Thursday on five counts of larceny of more than $250.

Prosecutors say Vinton was an administrative assistant at the Hopkinton company when the alleged credit card misuse occurred. Company officials alerted police when they noticed expenses that did not match her job. Purchases allegedly included Celtics tickets, limousine rides, hotels, and dinners.

The MetroWest Daily News reports that she’s also accused of claiming almost $49,000 of overtime she didn’t work.

Vinton has pleaded not guilty.
