World Energy Solutions selected for NStar’s municipal program
World Energy Solutions Inc., a Worcester-based energy management services firm, said Thursday that it has been selected by NStar to be an approved contractor within NStar’s municipal program.
That program aims to help Bay State municipalities save money on energy through the implementation of energy efficiency measures. The cost of these efficiency projects is being supplemented directly by NStar, which offers incentives for qualifying lighting and mechanical retrofits.
NStar, now part of Northeast Utilities, is an electric and gas utility.
In a statement, World Energy Solutions vice president Bruce Buckbee said, “Gaining the NStar municipal designation opens the door to many more project opportunities for our energy efficiency practice in Massachusetts, while deepening the productive relationship we have struck with NStar.”
