World Bank’s Robert Zoellick will be a senior fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center
Robert B. Zoellick, whose five-year term as president of the World Bank ends June 30, will become a senior fellow at a research center at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Zoellick is set to join the school’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs in July.
Zoellick is a former Belfer Center research fellow and an alumnus of the Kennedy School.
“I hope to work on the intersection of economics and security, applying history to policy questions of today,” Zoellick said in a statement.
Before his term at the World Bank, Zoellick served as a vice chairman of the Goldman Sachs Group. Previously, he was deputy Secretary of State in 2005 and 2006 and a US Trade Representative from 2001 to 2005.
The Belfer Center focuses on research, teaching, and training in international security affairs, environmental and resource issues, and science and technology policy.
Zoellick will also be a distinguished visiting fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington, D.C.
