Lovebird lager? The folks at Samuel Adams want to alert beer buffs that the company’s brew-meisters have crafted a new beer for consumers who are engaged or just married.

“Brewlywed Ale” is billed as a special, limited release product and one that has the versatility to be paired with wedding-reception fare.

But beer enthusiasts must act fast because this product could be as ephemeral as sudden love --- just 400 cases have been brewed, and it is available for purchase only on Thursday morning at a special event at the company’s Boston brewery, said the Boston Beer Co., the maker of Samuel Adams.

The event will feature Anja Winikka, the site director for TheKnot.com, a website that seeks to help consumers plan their weddings. Plans call for Winikka to dispense wedding advice, the company said.

What’s more, an on-site justice of the peace will be standing by to perform new ceremonies or renew existing vows, Samuel Adams said.

Apparently, the company is expecting a crowd at an event that is set to run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

“The first 20 people to arrive in bridal attire will be moved to the front of the line,” Sam Adams said in an advisory promoting the event.

For the record, Samuel Adams describes Brewlywed Ale as a limited release Belgian-style pale golden ale.

“A distinct and complex brew, Samuel Adams Brewlywed Ale offers layers of flavor including fruit and honeysuckle notes from the Belgian yeast, sweetness from malt, and character from hops,” Samuel Adams said.
