Continuum Managed Services LLC said Tuesday that it has completed the relocation of its worldwide headquarters from Pittsburgh to new offices in Boston.

Continuum develops and supports software that information-technology services organizations use to remotely monitor and manage the computer systems of small- and mid-sized businesses. Continuum also sells back-up and disaster-recovery products.

Summit Partners, an investment firm with offices in Boston, became Continuum’s majority owner about a year ago, and one reason for the relocation is to be close to Summit, Continuum chief executive Michael George said in a statement. Boston’s “strong talent pool of executives and professionals with extensive technology experience” also was a factor in the move, George said.

According to Continuum, many of its clients are turning to video as a way to reach out to prospects and customers. To address this trend, Continuum’s new Boston space will be home to “a world-class media production capability” that will be available to clients to support of their marketing and lead generation programs, George said in a press release.

Continuum’s new Boston office can accommodate more than 100 employees; it currently has 23, Continuum said. The company’s executive management team and its media production personnel will be based in the Boston office. With a subsidiary in Mumbai, India, Continuum said its worldwide head-count is 650 employees.
