The Transportation Security Administration installed 27 high-tech body scanners earlier this week at Logan International Airport’s Terminal A. The machines use thermal imaging instead of X-rays and show a generic outline in place of an image of a person’s naked body.
Many passengers have expressed concern about the older scanners -- citing invasion of privacy as well as the radiation levels emitted by the machines. The new devices will be installed throughout the airport over the next two months, officials said.
