Curt Schilling puts Medfield home up for sale. Asking price: $3.45 million

Former Red Sox star Curt Schilling, whose video-game company failed earlier this year, has just put his 26-acre estate in Medfield up for sale, with an asking price of $3.45 million, his real estate agent confirmed Tuesday.
The property is being marketed by Landmark Residential Inc. According to Landmark’s website, the “extremely private” estate features a home with 20 rooms, including seven bedrooms and six full baths.There’s a pitching/batting cage as well as a heated pool with a waterfall and a putting green. There’s also a wine room, a hot tub, and a dog grooming area, not to mention a home theater and a wet bar.
Schilling and his wife bought the house in 2004 from former New England Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe for $4.5 million.
Several years ago, Schilling founded a video-game company called 38 Studios. The company started out in Massachusetts, but was later lured to Rhode Island by a $75 million loan guarantee. 38 Studios laid off its nearly 300 employees in Providence in May and filed for bankruptcy protection in June.
