Spirit Airlines launches nonstop service between Boston and Fort Myers

Spirit Airlines launches its new nonstop service between Boston and Fort Myers, Fla., today, with round-trip tickets on sale now for $158 round-trip.
The airline will have one flight a day to Fort Myers, its third nonstop destination from Boston.
The airline also flies from Boston to Fort Lauderdale and Myrtle Beach. JetBlue Airways and Southwest Airlines also fly nonstop to Fort Myers, a popular destination for Bostonians who go to watch the Red Sox during spring training.
Just be sure to mind your bags on Spirit: the carrier charges up to $50 for carryon luggage.
