Iron Mountain buys three data companies
Data storage and management company Iron Mountain Inc. said it bought three companies -- IG2 Data Security, Inc. in Chicago, DATAPROS Storage and Staffing LLC in Phoenix; and Data Backup Inc. in Sarasota, Fla.
Iron Mountain, which is based in Boston, did not disclose terms of the deals.
“We welcome the customers of these firms and are committed to serving their data backup and recovery needs,” Harry Ebbighausen, Iron Mountain’s North America president, said in a statement Monday.
Ebbighausen added that the company’s buying spree may not be over. “We will continue to seek opportunities that enhance our existing operations or expand our service footprint,” he said.
IG2 Data Security specializes in data protection and backup tape storage services.
DATAPROS offers media storage and management services, and Data Backup is a major data storage and disaster recovery service providers in western Florida, according to Iron Mountain.
