Staples ties for first for fastest delivery time among top 25 online retailers
If you order from Staples today, you won’t have to worry about your item being late for Christmas.
In an evaluation of the top 25 online retailers conducted by independent research company STELLAService, which gathers data through a nationwide network of mystery shoppers, the Framingham-based office supplies chain tied for first place in terms of fastest shipping time in November 2012, with an average delivery time of one day.
“Staples takes great pride in making the online purchasing experience easy for our customers by providing fast, dependable delivery,” Steve Bussberg, senior vice president of Staples.com said in a statement. “We know how important it is to fulfill our customers’ orders as quickly as possible and ensure they receive their purchases in a timely manner.”
Staples shares the title with online shoe-and-apparel company Zappos.com and OfficeDepot.com, another office supply retailer. The study found department store JCPenney’s online division to be the slowest, with an average delivery time of nine days.
Representatives from Zappos, Office Depot, JCPenney, and STELLAService were not immediately available for comment.
