Comcast, whose services include cable TV, said it is unveiling an updated version of its Red Sox On Demand feature that includes dozens of additions over what was available last year.
For example, there is a content folder dedicated to Pedro Martinez, the retired pitching star who is now a special assistant to the team’s general manager. One item in the folder: “The K Story,” a documentary of Martinez. There’s also another documentary titled “My Name Is Ted Williams,” which focuses on his off-the-field interests such as fishing.
Red Sox On Demand also includes episodes of Red Sox Report, which airs weekly on NESN.
“Red Sox On Demand delivers die-hard Sox fans this exciting programming, including up close, behind-the-scenes access to the team and the players, any time of the day,” Steve Hackley, senior vice president of Comcast’s Greater Boston region, said in a statement. “Comcast is committed to being the number one destination for sports fans to catch all the hometown action, and we are thrilled to offer this captivating content to the most passionate fans in baseball.” Chris Reidy can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
