Nordblom Co. said that a Tony C’s sports-themed restaurant has leased space at its 3rd Ave in Burlington shopping-and restaurant complex that will include a giant Wegmans supermarket and several other restaurants and retailers.

Nordblom owns Northwest Park, a 4.6 million square-foot mixed-use development in Burlington that counts such companies as Thoratec, LeMaitre Vascular, and Scheidt & Bachmann as office tenants.

Nordblom is now carving out a roughly 300,000-square-foot swath of the park and redeveloping it as “a retail-walking street” with a “boulevard layout” known as 3rd Ave in Burlington. Nordblom has touted 3rd Ave as “the soon-to-be social and entertainment heart of Burlington.” The first 3rd Ave tenant is likely to open for business early next year, and Tony C’s is scheduled to open some time in 2014.

Tony C’s is a concept developed by the Cronin Group, a Boston-based company that owns and operates restaurants in the Greater Boston area including Jerry Remy’s and Temazcal in the Seaport District.

“Combining the highest quality HD audiovisual system available with a premium, but moderately-priced, broad-based menu featuring fresh ‘house-made’ comfort fare, Tony C’s will be an inviting environment for families, sports fans, and business people alike,” Nordblom said in a press release.

Tony C’s will occupy about 8,400 square feet of space at 3rd Ave in Burlington.

Wegmans is described as an 3rd Ave anchor tenant as is Kings Bowl, a 27,000-square-foot venue. Kings Bowl is a brain child of Hub nightclub impresario Patrick Lyons. The first Kings Bowl opened in Boston a decade ago, and the concept combines bowling with dining, music, retro decor, and adult refreshments. According to Lyons, Kings has reinvented the bowling experience for a new generation.

Another 3rd Ave tenant is the Bancroft, a high-end steakhouse developed by the Webber Restaurant Group.
