No other Japanese car - no, make that no other sports car, period - has reached such mythical status as the Nissan GT-R. Incredible grip, speed and engines modified to 900-plus horsepower taunted Americans for years. Their only outlet: PlayStation and import car magazines.
This GT-R, despite being massive and excessively heavy, is finally in the United States and is as exotic as they come: zero to 60 in about 3.5 seconds, four-wheel steering, active differentials, and the ability to run with Europe's finest.
So what if the 480 horsepower is an absolute lie (it's making at least 550), or that the interior is modeled for video game freaks. For $80,000, there's no better supercar value aside from a Corvette Z06.
