EPA fuel economy:
For the price of a fully-loaded Prius, the Lexus HS 250h is the obvious next step for buyers of Toyotas venerable hybrid. Based on Prius components and a European-market Toyota sedan, the HS 250h packs more performance, luxury features, and cachet into a similar tidy package.
Other Lexus hybrids pack large V-8s for quicker acceleration but little improvement in fuel economy over standard models. This Lexus is the first to offer a four-cylinder, and its EPA 35/34 rating is the companys highest, though nearly the same as Toyotas larger Camry Hybrid. Perhaps thats why I was able to launch the HS 250h to 100 mph fairly easy on a closed course.
Computer gurus will like the cursor trackpad for the navigation screen and the heads-up display that projects information onto the windshield, which is quite helpful at high speeds.
