Unlike the sad excuse for an entry-level luxury SUV, the Land Rover LR2, the Evoque has packaged snobby status into a striking, almost sports car-like shape. It's priced under 50 grand, delivers 19 miles per gallon in the city, and because it's a Rover, can comfortably ford 20 inches of water.
The Range Rover Sport grabbed a lot of buyers, but the Evoque — a hipster in couture garb — looks to take even more. It's available as a four-door or a lower two-door coupe.
