For 2007, four more airbags join the standard equipment list on a RAV4 that was redesigned — and greatly enlarged — for 2006. The '06 model got a new V-6 engine, and a new Sport model was available, along with Base and top-of-the-line Limited models. More than 14 inches longer overall than its predecessor, and 3.2 inches wider, the RAV4 could be fitted with an optional third-row seat for the first time.
