As if 200-plus miles per hour wasn't scary enough, 100 lucky people - plus 50 who already have at least one Veyron - will now be able to conduct this feat without a roof. Drag reduces the Veyron Grand Sport's top speed from 253 m.p.h. to 229 m.p.h. and more carbon fiber bulks up the B-pillars and underbelly to increase torsional rigidity. Even the leather is moisture-resistant.
But if it pours and you have to break out the stowed umbrella-like top, Bugatti recommends a paltry 81 m.p.h. Which is truly scary, considering it takes only 2.5 seconds to get to 60 m.p.h.
Keep your eye on the Euro, too: the Grand Sport sells for just under $2 million (€1.4 million), but that could rise when it goes on sale in March.
