If the Porsche hybrid seems pricey, the same powertrain — with a supercharged V-6 straight off the Audi S4 — sits in the brand new Touareg Hybrid. Except you can’t do 97 mph on the electric motor.

Gas mileage isn’t much better than the diesel TDI (only city mileage improves, from 18 to 21 mpg). The hunkered-down new look has plenty of Porsche and Audi cues for (somewhat) less money.
