2011 Volvo S60
The first-ever redesign of Volvos best-selling S60 is finally here, and beneath the sporty exterior (Volvo North America CEO Doug Speck called it "naughty") are updates to the rich interior and incredible auto-brake feature.Volvos City Safety system debuted on the XC60 last year, but now includes pedestrian detection and can halt the car all by itself up to 22 mph. All-wheel-drive, an active suspension, torque-vectoring, and a 304-horsepower inline-six (no more five-cylinders) are all available.
Volvos future with Chinese automaker Geely has Sweden in a bind, but if they continue to make designs like this there should be no problem, a few Volvo knockoffs notwithstanding.
