Debuts at the 2010 New York Auto Show
2011 Mitsubishi Outlander CUVThis compact crossover doesnt have a proper name yet, but its slated to compete — a practice Mitsubishi is trying to relearn — with the new Hyundai Tuscon and Subaru Forester.
Fuel economy is the intent here, with an estimated 31 mpg highway from a 2.0 liter four-cylinder and 5-speed manual or continuously variable transmission. All-wheel-drive is available, as is a 710-watt sound system and panoramic moonroof.
From the looks of it, wed say Mitsubishi has a real shot here, although the bar has been set quite high.
