Debuts at the 2010 New York Auto Show
2011 Kia OptimaPerhaps the biggest surprise at the show was this Kia, a stunning design inside and out that exudes sportiness and brace yourself luxury.
The shock comes not from the car itself — the available surround-sound audio, Microsoft voice-recognition, panoramic sunroof — but from the nameplate. Look at last years Optima and you saw a tired loaf of a sedan. This one is very tough to swallow because its crisp, clean, and almost elegant.
A hybrid version with the Sonata Hybrids guts will debut next year. The real devil is in the drive, however, so until we get our hands on an Optima, well just keep our jaws wide open.
