How the EPA might grade new cars
How do you know if your new car is a success or a failure? New fuel economy labels proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency aim to answer that in the form of a giant letter grade, which aims to score a car's environmental impact from the combined city/highway gas mileage and carbon dioxide emissions.
No car is set up to fail, but the results are a bit surprising. Have a look at how the EPA would rank these 2010 model year cars, from A+ to D.
