YES! Roadster

What hatched as a graduate thesis between two German engineering students 10 years ago has become a bona-fide performance car that's now making its way across the Atlantic.

The YES! Roadster - short for "Young Engineer's Sportscar" - is about the weight of a Lotus Elise, which means you wouldn't last a run-in with Mom and her four kids piled in the Suburban. Power from the 255 hp and 355 hp six-cylinders is fierce, enough for claimed 0-62 mph times of 4.9 and 3.9 seconds, respectively.

Sources say the car could cost nearly $70,000, which isn't bad considering its eclectic angles, scissor doors and limited volume.
