Mazda Furai
Here's a purpose-built GT race car that's all about form. It's as if designer Franz von Holzhausen (pictured) took a santoku knife to clay, the artful body revealing very fine cuts and interweaving air intakes.
Nice work also comes in the form of a three-rotor turbocharged engine pumping out 450 hp. No word on whether the Furai will see circuit competition, but it's certainly a preview of Mazda's new design direction.
Even if you don't like the Furai's looks, at least admire Mazda's commitment to the oddball rotary. By any means, it's a truly unique car.
