Pros: Garmin boasts excellent, reliable maps. The 880 offers speech-activated navigation and MSN Direct, which lets you check gas prices, weather reports and events in the area. The traffic antenna is built in. Six million searchable points of interest included.
Cons: The unit is bogged down by processing delays. Older Garmins (with fewer extra features) are known for their quick, responsive touch screens that let you zip through the menus to plot your course. The price tag is also a painful con.
Overall: Look, you can't ever go wrong with a Garmin. But there are varying degrees of "right." We also tested the Nuvi 205w for $249.99 and liked its features just as much.
