At first, we had to plug in headphone wires into the radio head in order to play music from portable devices. But most economy and luxury cars with decent radios offer USB ports to plug in anything loaded with MP3 files. Song and sorting information comes up through the car’s radio display, and if you're in certain new Fords or Chevrolets, you can even stream Pandora channels from your smartphone.
