Voice recognition has come a long way, and while the software still makes plenty of mistakes (I said TD Garden, not Boston Common!) it’s a good attempt to keep drivers from fussing with navigation systems while in motion. Some, like on the new Honda Civic, only operate the Bluetooth system, but the better ones, like Ford’s Microsoft-powered Sync , can even play your iPod tracks through simple commands.
