Toyota Camry Hybrid
You've probably seen a few of these Camrys dressed in brown and green livery around Boston on taxi duty. Just try and get Ford to do the same with the Crown Victoria. No, didn't think so.
At $25,650, it's the most expensive Camry - $300 more than the top-level XLE - but with that price you get 12 miles per gallon more in the city, and all the hot technology found in the slimmer Prius. The Camry can't come near the Prius's mileage, since it carries a higher drag coefficient and weighs about 700 pounds more. But the great thing is that the Camry Hybrid looks normal, and chances are you'll never get stares or praise for driving one. That alone should get you to buy it, so long as your ego is already sturdy.
