Toyota Highlander Hybrid
This is Toyota's heaviest, priciest and least efficient hybrid. After all, it is a 4,500 pound SUV. But with a price starting at $34,200, the reasons for choosing this hybrid over the Escape Hybrid aren't many - you either want the bigger size or just want to have 270 combined horsepower.
Not that the 27/25 rating is poor, or that Toyota doesn't know a thing or two about building great trucks, but hybrids come down to cost-benefit, and this one just isn't cutting it. That said, it's certainly a more practical choice than the huge Tahoe Hybrid.
