Porsche Cayenne Hybrid
Just as the entry-level Cayenne was slipping into dim memory, the German sports car marque attaches a 50 horsepower electric motor to the SUV's V6 and claims freeway speeds up to 75 mph - with the gas engine off. Eyebrows thoroughly raised.
But until it's out on the road, we're guessing electric-only high-speed cruising will last as long as a nitrous oxide tank, unless there's some super Duracells in there. Those gaudy graphics also don't help fuel economy. So here's the better idea, Porsche - put this hybrid package in the base Cayman, make it as fast as the S model and charge the same price.
