Quality small cars are in big demand these days - witness Honda's plans to move 70,000 of these little Fits in the US this year, according to Edmunds.

For 2009, the Fit gets a little larger in every dimension, but adds only 22 pounds. If you're into spirited driving, get a Civic Si, as the Fit's 118 ponies aren't eager to zip. But for big interior space and a small footprint, the Fit is the best choice, at least until the Ford Fiesta makes some waves in 2010.
