2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance
It's hard to do wrong with hundreds of pristine European antique cars, the California coast, and swarms of rich people and wide-eyed car lovers. That's the basis of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, which gathered Aug. 16 to showcase some of the world's rarest automobiles. Jay Leno would agree: This is the concours to watch the world over.
Photographer Gene Ritvo of Weston captured these stunning cars, amidst all the fireworks and confetti. Pictured here is the "Best in Show," a 1937 Horch Voll & Ruhrbeck Sport Cabriolet owned by Robert M. Lee of Sparks, Nev.
