The V-8’s 412 horsepower and 26-mpg highway rating – no doubt realized by new six-speed transmissions and a hard kick from Chevrolet’s Camaro – deliver modern performance to match the retro looks. The V-6 produces as much power as the outgoing V-8, and even hits 31 mpg.

This is still an old-school muscle car. But these upgrades keep the classic Mustang relevant for the next generation. – CA
