The question is whether the generation that grew up riding in minivans will become minivan buyers. Honda has done its utmost to make its fourth-generation Odyssey worthy of the term ultimate family vehicle. The new Odyssey is lower, wider, and more sporty-looking, but still unmistakably a minivan. It can be ordered in eight different variations, though none comes with all-wheel-drive.
Still, there are three market segments for minivans: fans (adopters), foes (rejectors), and undecided (hesitators). The latter, like independent voters in a national election, will have a lot to say about the Odyssey's future. BG
