PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — A New York man has agreed to be brought to Maine to face a murder charge in the shooting death of a woman he was dating.
Portland police say 19-year-old Anthony Pratt waived extradition Thursday in New York. He isn’t expected to be brought back to Maine before April 19.
Pratt is charged with murder in the death of 29-year-old Westbrook resident Margarita Fisenko Scott, whose remains were discovered Jan. 17 inside a sport utility vehicle in a Motel 6 parking lot in Portland.
Police say Pratt was dating Fisenko Scott and killed her in a Portland apartment in November. Her remains were later put in the SUV and abandoned.
