Jeep raised eyebrows at the New York International Auto Show when it unveiled a barely recognizable Cherokee. The 2014 midsize SUV ditches the boxy style of its earlier years for something more aerodynamic.

Take a look at some of the other major redesigns displayed in New York.

The new Equus has a new grille, LED fog lights, softer leather, and blindspot detection. Its proximity key technology unlocks the car when the driver approaches.

Previously known as the Accord Crosstour, this vehicle’s front and back body are now visibly sleeker. It also has a rear backup camera as a standard feature, lane watch, and touchscreen volume control.

The redesigned Highlander fits up to eight people, has a blind spot monitor that illuminates when someone’s there, eight standard airbags instead of seven, standard 18-inch wheels instead of 17.

The Fusion was entirely redesigned for 2013. It’s available in five different powertrains, including this hybrid model. New technology includes lane departure warning and a lane keeping aid.

The 2014 Durango has a raised front bumper, redesigned front facia surround lights, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and improved fuel economy. It’s coming to showrooms this fall.

The Mazda6 was a concept car last year. It follows the manufacturer’s “Kodo: Soul of Motion” concept that seeks to get more power from a lighter engine. The Mazda6 is 30 percent more efficient than the car it replaces and has a larger wheelbase and more sweeping design.

The new Soul is bigger and wider. It has a panoramic sunroof, full leather seats, and 18-inch wheels. It’s due out in the fall.

The Q50 replaces Infiniti’s G37 sedan. Its changes are visible inside and out and include 360-degree cameras, a more aggressive front grille, hawk-eye lights, gas and hybrid options, and customizable sensitivity.

The R8’s body style is the same as previous years, but its changes will affect the driving experience. The transmission was changed from R tronic to S tronic. Instead of a single clutch, they changed to a dual clutch. This shaves 0.3 seconds of its zero-60 time.

Mercedes-Benz gave a facelift to its entire E-Class for 2014. The grille, headlights, and rear shape are different on this hybrid.

The tC’s facelift includes aggressive lenses that resemble the Scion FR-S, LED lights standard on the side, and graphite wheels with a machine finish.

Due to come out in the summer, the new iS is longer, has 60-40 folding backseats, and the new electro static climate control technology.
