The 19th Annual Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce Father’s Day Car Show on Main Street in Hyannis drew hundreds of cars and viewers from around the country on June 16. Take a look at some of the classic, custom, and chopped rides that lined the downtown area.

Pictured: Herb Peterson’s 1967 Plymouth GTX was a looker. The stock 440 boasted original parts, from optional wheel covers to the mint ivory interior.

Check out the original sticker for the GTX. Someone find me a time machine so I can go back and buy a 440 in this condition for $3,639.40.

Cheryl L. Armstrong’s 1959 Ford Thunderbird sat pretty on the corner of Main Street and Bassett Lane.

There’s nothing like the cool, clean lines on a Chevrolet Chevell. This one is a 1966 SS.

Shane Stanley’s 1985 Chevy Caprice boasts 28-inch wheels that stand taller than some toddlers. The ride also has gull wing doors and a custom lift kit.

This restored 1953 Allard J2X MK IL boasts a 360-horsepower 5-speed transmission.

Custom accents breathed life into the autos, like the brake light covers on this 1967 Chevrolet C-10 pickup owned by Eileen and Ed Marshall.

This 1975 AMC Pacer features original paint and was purchased from Sears Auto Sales in Sandwich in 1975 for $4,208.25.

The Cape Codster is a fully custom Volkswagen Beetle, complete with removable Carson top.

Oh, and it’s blown. This ain’t your average punchbuggy.

This 1947 Dodge WDX Power Wagon, owned by Dan Wittenmeyer, Sr., was one of several on display.

This isn’t your typical 1977 Chevy Vega — it’s a hybrid. Paul Berger’s entry is half Vega, half 1969 Camaro. This one is a sleeper for sure.

Rick and Mary Jane Hone own this 1963 Ford Falcon Futura convertible, one of 204 made. It boasts a 260-horspower V8.

Donna Diminico’s 1956 Chevy Cameo pickup was a thing of beauty, with a red and white interior — complete with fuzzy dice.

Richard Mandola dubbed his 1950 Ford “Blue Rhapsody.”

Dan Kennedy’s 194 Lincoln Zephyr 3-window coupe houses a 460 cubic inch engine under its massive hood.

This 1961 Cadillac Town Sedan had all of the optional bells and whistles when it rolled off the lot more than 50 years ago, including air conditioning, power windows, seats, door locks, and a power antenna. The original list price was $5,498.

Showgoers admired Ric Rust’s 1948 Jaguar Mark IV. The convertible runs a 3.5 liter drophead 6-cylinder engine, which tops out at 90 miles per hour.

Bill and Audrey Anderson entered their 1940 Chevrolet KC 12 pickup in the show.

Jim Kalweit’s Factory Five GTM kit car drew tons of attention. The ride was custom built from the ground up.

Something Sweet Cape Cod brought its 1971 Volkswagen bus, which also serves as a delivery vehicle named Sweetie.
