Most people’s reaction after a car accident is to cry, scream and shout. But not the Neufelds.
According to ABC’s Los Angeles station KABC, the California couple, both in their 80s, appeared unhurt and unfazed after their Honda flipped over on a drive home in Bel Air, Calif. In fact, they seized the moment to take a (pretty adorable) picture, despite Elizabeth Neufeld still being trapped inside the vehicle.
Benjamin Neufeld, 87, was apparently able to get out of the car on his own, but his wife remained inside till help arrived.
Neighbors of the Neufelds told KABC that they saw Elizabeth Neufeld use the moment to whip out her phone and text, or “take a selfie” while still entrapped in the car.
The couple also told reporters that they “did not know” how their car overturned, and Benjamin Neufeld said he wasn’t sure if his wife of 60 years took a selfie or not.
